I think you misread - the reason why using a Mityvac isn't great is because vacuum at the bleeders can suck air into the fluid stream, through the bleeder screw threads. It's difficult to know when you actually have a full bleed. It is not possible to suck air in through the master cylinder unless it runs dry. Air is lighter than brake fluid, it will always be on top.
