You're right, of course, and if I could pick up a well-sorted manual transmission C900 I'd probably be satisfied. My Saabs have both been automatics, and that's probably what's ruining it for me, more than anything.

I also wouldn't mind something a little simpler and less needy. A Miata with a manual top, no ABS, no power seats, no seat heaters, no turbo, etc., is what I'm thinking. More spartan, but more appealing in a lot of ways.
