They are high and, I think, there's much less that is DIY-able compared to the old days. Of course with a new car you don't have to worry about that for a while.

Preferences vary but in my mind the Volvo rates high for comfort, safety, and style. Handling and power are ok, but not as good as other Swedish company. The s60 has a surprisingly small back seat, too.
