I had a question about getting optional tires/rims for my car. It currently has 205/60r15's on there on steel wheels. The car does NOT have ABS. they are tiny little things, so narrow. I am thinking when I need new tires, getting a set of new rims as well I can pick up a set at tire rack with wheels for a decent price, well within my budget once the current tires wear out. Part of the reason, is because the car has no abs, I was thinking with a wider 16 or 17" rim, that It would give me larger contact pad, plus I can get higher performance tires which would also give me more stopping power without locking up (which I've done once already in heavy traffic) I feel that the tires, 2nd only to the brakes are one of the most important thing on a car. These skinny tires kinda scare me.
