Granted the G-forces on street tires only made me wanting more lateral seating support after about 20 minutes of lapping at Limerock. I was a little suprised that at speed(~115 MPH max. - 1:10 lap times) a multiple point harness was not required by Skip Barber boys. When you start adding race rubber and changed suspension geometry is when even at autocross speeds(~40 MPH) the stock seat belt and seating become inadequate and we were traveling at three times that speed.
After watching/hearing the latest crashes and flips I will definitely be using a harness at any high speed track event.
The author claims that technology is to blame for inexperienced drivers be capable of driving over their heads. That is one of the reasons that I did not get Active Handling on my '99 Corvette and would not want it on the 9-5 Aero. AWD will provide better traction under most conditions compared to FWD but I really could not see a reason for it in my travels.
