A long time SAAB mechanic "...recommends Amsoil 20/50W Series 2000 synthetic in both 900 and 9000 5-speed transmissions. He has been using this stuff for some time now, and he absolutely swears by it and has many glowing success stories. Since he was so high on it, I put it in my transmission after having it rebuilt. All I can say is that after about a year I've had no problems with it..."

97 9000CS, 5 spd....tried the Saab synthetic and shifting was horrible till I went back to regular dino 10-30W, then shifting back to smooth normal
