Will hi-rev kill my auto trans in stage 3 9000 ?

Hi guys,
The car is pro-tuned to stage 3 270hp 9000 A/T.
Tuner said the ecu limited torque to 400nm. so that the trans wont quit soon.
However, the ecu allow to rev pass 6k rev which is the stock limit, to around 6.8 k rev.
I just wonder if I manually restrict the gear change and rev to above 6.5 k, will this damage the trans?
I've read in some volvo web, they said not only torque but rev also kill trans so brought me the concern.
