Engine has been in for about three weeks. Was delayed with engine install because my mechanic had to order a spring remover so I could change upper control arm bushings. Once done, engine went in and I started hooking up all wiring connections. One of my CV joints was shot so I ordered and installed two new axles. Also rebuilt the calipers....that was a nightmare since: 1) I had never done it before 2) Bentley's was barely helpful and 3) My mech was so busy, he couldn't do it. So after work or on weekends I'd trudge on down there and work on the car.
Right now, I have to bleed hydralic system, install wheels and tighten up all the control bushings once the car is off the hoist. Then install all turbo pipe connections....some are going to have be modified alittle since I changed I/C location by about two inches...because of Hella headlights. Still waiting for a bracket for my Corbeau seat from Corbeau. they lost the first one and waiting on second. Should be a Y2K start up, but not as soon as I thought....too many little things kept popping up....stripped threads here, take something off so something else could go on, etc., etc., plus limited time to get down there and do it. Beleive me, I really do have a Saab!! With this cool weather here in GA all I think about driving to work is how optimum the temp would be to drive a turbo....and maybe smoke the M3s running around where I live. Assuming of course the car starts.
