Hi All, Just picked up my Viggen from Arroway Saab in NY where they did a 20k service,did the three "service campaigns" (don't call them recalls...) put my snows on and fixed a couple of other items.
My thoughts;
- 20k service w/o Oil change (I do my own) was $75. Not too bad I guess.
- three service campaigns were performed (replace T7, Banjo bolt and relocate the oxygen sensor. Stratomen - no excessive drives only a quick drive which they always do to ensure everything works.
- Snows: I bought this years three-spoke alloys with the Gislaved Nordfrost (you can see them at Saabcatalog.com). They are not as loud as I feared and the ride is actually a little better than the Dunlops(16" vs 17") and no shakes/shimmies up to 80mph. But I will miss the grip of the 17" Dunlops. They put the tires in plastic bags too so no mess.
- AM reception - I had none! They installed additional ground reception and now it works fine. Glad I asked about it.
- Reset one of my headlight wipers which didn't park all the way. Its better but not as good as the other side.
They did a great job, gave me a new 9-3 with 2200 miles on the odometer for a loaner, and it was ready when promised. I'm a happy camper.
