I have a set of Konis on my 99 (the rear) which are actually designed for the 900.
The shocks are an adjustable gas shock with three settings. They can be adjusted while on the car all you need to do is remove the wheel and slacken the top mounting bolts.
As for the ride they are quite good. The softest setting is quite comfortable while the hardest setting is firm, but not uncomfortably so. I drive with the car on the hardest setting.
My only complaint is that I would like the hardest setting to be a little harder for competition driving but mind you as I only have a rear swaybar fitted if I had the shocks any harder I would be in real trouble :-)
As for part numbers I would actually have to look that up, but any decent suspension supplier can give you this.
Oh Yeah.....As far as I knew koni had stopped making shocks for the 99/900 last year is this true?
