Nines had a great artical about this a few years back. It was stated by the author that yellow lenses are better in snow. Havn't tried yellow fog lenses. It makes sense though. Yellow ski goggles are excellent in flat snow. I am really happy with a set of clear Hella fogs under the bumper of my 99. They are great in fog and, more frequently, dark rainy nights here in the northwest. My PIAA driving lights are mounted above the bumper
and wired to the high beam outlet on the light relay with an override switch on the dash. They don't get used that much. A good set of headlights will light up the road nicely. A good set of fogs would be my first choice.
