Shaun,
Glad to hear the car fired up, but to tell you what it sounds like is the same thing I went thru with my Paceo coper gasket. Leaked, and leaked and leaked, and was still loosing fluid even after 2 months of driving. So I'm pretty sure that yours won't seal as well. That being said I've got the current stock gasket on it, a heck of a lot less hassle. I've got the copper one hangin on the garage wall, no cams yet for me. Ran out of Saab $$, time for skiing $$. Plus just for fun I contacted a place here in Denver that runs a nitro methane funny car at 7.29 and asked about O ringing or not. After the laughter I received for "Doing what to a SAAB?" they were quite helpful. Not only is the combustion chambers hard to seal, oil passages, and the timing chain area are difficult place to have a metal gasket seal. If there is a place that guarantees that they can install a copper gasket with out O ringing the block and not have it leak I'd love to take mine to that shop. Being serious here, since I can't find a place here that would even attempt it on a Saab. I'll be curious on what takes place next for you, can't wait to see the air ram picutres.
