"I want to replace all of the hoses. Can I just use standard American sizes hoses? I know in my Eurovan I can't everthing is metric.

In general you can use US hose sizes to replace metric, and vice versa, unless you require strict originality. The hose material is quite elastic and will slide over a slightly larger nipple or clamp down on a slightly smaller one.

Maybe the hoses will just tighten up. Here is what we thought:

Most meduim hoses including the heater are 5/8

5/8" is very close to 16MM.

Two hoses to the block are 3/4

3/4" is very close to 19MM. Both these sizes are so close that it is common for mechanics to use 5/8"/16mm wrenches interchangeably, likewise 3/4"/19MM. If you look up an interchange chart, you will get the point.

Main outlet of water pump is 1 inch

= 25MM

Carb preheat hoses are 3/8

Is very close to but a tad smaller than 10MM, the wrenches do not interchange as above. But the hoses will.

Radiator hoses 1 1/4 (snug, maybe next size up)

Any hose about 30MM would be a decent fit.

Fuel pump seems to be 7 mm but carb seems to be 5/16?

Possibly 8MM. 5/16 equals 8MM as near as makes no difference and I use the wrenches interchangeably.

If you use good materials carefully installed, you can do a lot with nonstandard components. If you require originality you may wish to source OEM components.
