Hello again,
I thought while I am typing to ask another question to all .
From the time I bought my 1974 Sonett back in 2002,while driving there has been a rattle,a clicking sound, in the glove box area and it has driven me nuts over the years .Try as I may I could not find out what was the cause.
So the other day when I was struggling with the distributor issue I took one more look to see what it could be. What I found was a tear in the firewall, like the metal has been ripped, from the hole where windshield wiper drive tube comes through the fire wall.the tear angles down at a 45 about two hands long and stops.I can get my fingernails behind it. So I found my clicking sound.one problem solved a new one to ponder. My question is,is this a stress crack? a fracture from a wreck? maybe the wiper motor putting stress on the fire wall ?
The car is sound ,no rust.
Anyone ever encountered this before?
Again,Thanks for all your time.
You all have been a big help through the years.
