I have been going back and forth. I want to keep the dashboard stock. Currently, there is a nice looking, inoperative blaupunkt(sp?)stereo. It looks nice and vintage. The dashboard is the older type(71).
The conflict is that I want a cd and a hi qaulity stereo system.
Any suggestions of locations, for a stereo. I don't want to use the glovebox. I thought of the area left of the steering wheel, below the dash. Another tough area is speaker installation. Where to place speakers?? The single speaker area on the dashboard must have been a joke.
What good sound, can be acheived with one speaker installed in the center of the dash??
For the rear, there is plenty of room behind the roll bar..
Let's hear what you did? Any modern radios, with great sound that will fit into the old fashion "three holes" slot?
