Transmission Cover

Guys,

I am trying to put the transmission cover back on. I have set the three shift rods to neutral per my service manual instructions.

How does the detent assembly fit in to the transmission?

I have attached the picture of the transmission and cover. I put a red circle where I think the detent assembly will fit into the transmission . Can you please let me know if I am even close to where the detent assembly will fit?
