Jack Lawrence at MSS does sell a two muffler system for his extractor exhaust that is quieter. It has two mufflers in line. I have two Sonetts- one has the single muffler exhaust and the other has the dual. The dual is quieter, but is still quite loud.
The option is to look at the Summit Racing catalog (online) and find something close. I did that years ago on a Sonett- it came with an MSS exhaust and it was REALLY loud- totally rotted out I assume. I installed a "turbo" muffler on it's side at the rear- there was space to fit it up in the wheel well, behind the rear wheel and still have a tailpipe come out. I left the single MSS rotted out muffler in place. It worked pretty well and was relatively inexpensive.
