Well, I've owned and driven versions of all three and I am still driving my sonett. The ride get up and go is, of course, very similar to the 96 v4 and considerably slower than the EMS but one major difference is your relation to the road when you are in a sonett. You sit so low that seriously, I can't really compare the others to the experience. Generally, the sonetts are a much stiffer ride (my wife still gets shaky when we hit some rough road on these Utah freeways) but for me this is one of the more pleasant aspects of the sonett. They say the handling isn't all that great due to the weight displacement but is suits me fine and I have always felt in control at any speed. The floor shifter is not as cool as the column version IMO but it sure makes driving the car easier.
I'm rambling and I should be getting my late night snack rather than spending time online so good luck from here. Saab folk are generous for the most part and I'm sure there is someone in your area that would be willing to let you have a go.
