Ford V-6 swap

Back in the mid-80's I had a '72 Capri w/a 2600cc V-6, when the car finally rusted away, I pulled the motor--it was too good to junk w/the car--revved readily, sweet exhaust note. I just purchased a Sonett III and the V-4 looks to be the same basic motor less two cylinders. QUESTION: Will the 2600 swap in? I know a major (ugly, even larger) hood bulge would be necessary, but the 105 HP would sure be a kick!
