There are pictures floating around the Web of a 95 with this conversion. Supposedly the Saab transaxle is a direct bolt-on, but the need to move the radiator forward another two cylinders' worth of space required radical bodywork surgery on the 95 and would require even more on the Sonett -- wouldn't be so much a question of a larger "hood bulge" as of hacking a hole in the front for the radiator to hang out of.
The other big scary deal in any 95/96/97 engine swap is that the transaxle is a worry source even with the stock engine, and fitting something with a lot more power/torque would only make it more worrisome -- unless you really enjoy rebuilding transaxles, of course.
In view of this plus the fact that adding even more weight in front of the front wheels of an already nose-heavy Sonett is not going to do anything positive for its handling, and the fact that it's not too hard to goose up the V4 to 90-100hp with relatively minor carb, exhaust and cam changes, you can see why V6 swaps are not super-popular... if you go ahead anyway, though, be sure to post pictures of the result so the rest of us can see how it turned out!
