The electrical system in my Sonett is my nemesis. The tail lights always kept going out on me. The posts that the lights back into are not as perky as they used to be, so they don't push up tight against the lights for a good electrical connection. I tried electrical solder which didn't work very well. In the end, I had very good success just using electrical tape to force the connection. Not very elegant, but it worked.
