V6 swap? Also V4 questions..

My friend bought a Sonett III recently, I am helping him with the engine and mechanical stuff (I am a ford nut).
The V4 turns out to be tight, I pulled the heads and one cylinder is rust-pitted to the point where if I would get it running people might mistake it for a 2 stroke (it'll smoke). I figure it will need to be bored out. I know that this is the same basic engine as a 2.6 capri (I have one, nice car). So I assume we "could" bore it to accept a 2.8 piston has anyone done this? How much would it have to be bored? Any problems with overheating?
Also I have a 2.8 engine, I think I could move the radator, put it on more of a angle and slipe the 2.8 in with out too much work (I would hate to butcher the car). Has anyone done this, if so does anyone know where I could see some pictures of it?
Well thanks for any help,
Mark
