During warm weather it is quite difficult to start after I have been driving for a while. I have a Weber DGV 32/36 with a K&N airfilter. There is a large opening in the top of the carb over the float chamber. Somehow I can't help thinking that this is part of the problem. The petrol gets warm and evaporates very easily through this opening. Also after the car has been standing for a couple of days starting is not always so easy. Should there be something to close the opening (partly)? Are there other ways to improve starting abillity? Is there anybody who has experienced the same thing with this kind of carb?
