The problem is most likely not your wiper motor or it,s fastening. It is probably one of your wiper spindles that is semi-seized, thereby forcing the wiper motor to push and pull much harder than normal. The spindle axle is steel, sitting in an aluminum bushing. Once the aluminum corrodes, it expands, and seizes up the axle. Very common problem on 99 74- that use the same spindles.

Take the spindle out and try to get it moving with WD40 or something first. If that doesn't work, you will have to heat it with a torch.
