1995 Saab 900SE Hatchback (Posted 11/10/2013)

I am the second owner and have maintenance records since my purchase (2004) and also the original documentation. It is loaded (automatic, leather, sunroof, heated seats, two FOBs etc.). Several months ago it developed a coolant leak and white smoke from the tailpipe on startup. I suspect a head gasket leak but I am not a mechanic. It has never overheated and is still drivable but plan to keep adding coolant or fix cause. In the past several months I have driven it just a few times. The Good: Timing belt/pulley system replaced 187K, Continental Pro-Contact tires with < 5K on them, front and rear brakes/rotors replaced at 185K, exhaust, A/C core/evaporator and battery replaced in last two years. Both oxygen sensors (Bosch) replaced in the last year. Average to above average cosmetic condition with original paint and gray leather interior (no tears). The Bad: headliner sags, oil leak from pan, AC control unit has "lazy" fan and has to be turned on manually (I will include a replacement module), TCS light on, radio antenna partially retracts, CD player works intermittently. Runs Excellent. Have extra set of winter tires with steel wheels. This car needs nothing. Very minor surface rust at door corners and wheel well. 5 speed manual. AC, Power Moon roof, Power windows. At 80 mph very tight absolutely no rattles.

2.3 NA. 220k on the odometer. We bought it from our indy 8 years ago with 130k It had a new clutch and enginetranny from a 1997 with 70k. Everything works except AC won't hold a charge. Tires are one year old Nokian WR with approx 10k on them showing 6mm out of 8. Very little rust and very clean interior with no rips or holes. Excellent glass. Hot heat. Some major repairs since 180k include brakes and master cylinder, fuel pump, axles, and steering rack. Tight, smooth driver. Needs nothing. Could be driven anywhere. (near Milwaukee, WI)
