  • Color: Butterscotch Trans: Manual Mileage: 26,316 Price: $4500 or Best Offer
1973 Sonnet with title. It has been in storage for the last 25 years. It looks mostly complete with air conditioning and a SAAB AM-FM radio. Good paint and fiberglass. Engine runs from an IV bottle. The rockers are good but the floor and trunk need patched. Package deal includes a restorable 71 with no title, a donor 74 with no title, extra body and a load of extra parts. Farther if you are someplace warm or interesting. Look at the pictures, ask questions, come look at them, make me an offer. I can split up the package if necessary.I want these cars to go to someone that will appreciate them and give them a good home. I am 5 miles off of I-65 near Columbus, Indiana. • 1971 Saab Sonett III (Posted 1/11/2023) SOLD
  • Color: Green Trans: Manual Mileage: 23,009 Price: $9800
My late father built this car and converted it into a 2 stroke. The engine and transmission are completely rebuilt. The rest of the car, including the suspension and other components have been rebuilt or replaced. My father was SWEDISH born and was a genius when it came to building these cars... especially the engines and transmissions. He raced Saabs for 15 years in baja. The 2 stroke has a built in oil injector. The interior has been completely updated. It runs and drives well. I will also include a spare rear hatch window glass. If you are interested, let me know and I can give you more information and send more photos if you'd like. More photos available in classified gallery: Click Here.

  • 1974 Saab Sonett III (Posted 12/16/2021) SOLD
  • Color: Green Trans: Manual Mileage: Unknown Price: $2500 or Best Reasonable Offer
Complete running and driving (sort of) parts car. Sold with Bill of Sale only. NO TITLE. I picked this car up about 3 years ago. I believe it was sold new in Grand Forks, ND and spent much of its life in Minnesota. The titled owner passed away over 10 years ago. The car was sold by his widow and went through several people before I got it. I have spoken with the son of the titled owner and no one in the family wants anything to do with the car. I tried to get a letter of testamentary from the attorney for the estate but got no response whatsoever. Although it is a very "complete" car that starts and runs it is in rough shape. It could be lot driven but the hydraulic clutch leaks out fluid very quickly. The gas is probably 10 years old so I'm amazed it starts at all. This car is right on the edge of being too rusty to restore and too complete to part out. But with no title I suggest buying it for parts. The driver's floor is rusted out from clutch and brake fluid. The trunk floor is gone and patched as is typical. There is rust in the fenderwells. The fiberglass is surprisingly good with only a few bump and bruises and what appears to be most of its original paint. The interior is trashed although the door panels look pretty good and the dash has not been cut for an aftermarket radio. The glass is not perfect but it is all there. I did a WOT dry and wet compression test on the engine. Here are the numbers: 1 109 111 dry 135 134 wet. 2 104 98 dry 142 127 wet. 3 120 122 dry 151 160 wet. 4 117 117 dry 135 130 wet. Be advised that the photos tend to make it look better than it is. There are many more photos on the Saab Sonett fans Facebook page. The location is Bismarck North Dakota. The price is above or best reasonable offer by the end of this year. If no one wants the whole car I will part it out next January. PM me if you are interested. Thanks.

  • 1969 Saab Sonett V4 #1412 (Posted 11/30/2021) SOLD

1969 Saab Sonett V-4 #1412, for restoration or parts. The fiberglass is mostly w/o damage, small chips around the left headlight. All glass in good condition, except rear window missing. • 1972 Saab Sonett III (Posted 10/6/2021) SOLD
  • Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: Unknown Price: $1500
Historic GT4 race sonett built originally by Saab Racing in seventies. This car has a very good chassis and many special features but the engine and transmission were missing from car so they are not available. This sonett has Koni shocks in the rear and Bilsteins in the front. The car has a fuel cell and roll bar. This car could be made into a rally or hill climber and at this price it is a steal. The original racing log books are included with the car if you decide to race the car.

  • 1970 Saab Sonett III (Posted 9/20/2021) SOLD
  • Color: Red Trans: Manual Mileage: Unknown Price: Best Offer
1970 Sonett, chassis #70500088. Arizona car last registered in 1982. First year for the Type III, limited numbers (303?) built that year. Fiberglass is rough, glass is broken or missing. Most of interior removed. No engine/transmission. No keys. Clear Minnesota title. The good thing is the chassis. Some surface rusting can be seen but it's still solid, although there is some minor damage to the lower front crossmember. There are some oddities to this year, chiefly the windshield wiper mechanism is unique to this year only, and it has the early dash and switches. The chassis could be used for any rusty Sonett, but would be best for another 1970. This car was acquired in the mid 80's and has been garaged since. My plan was to use its chassis and my rusted out 1971 to make one good car. Last year I picked up a project car that's much further along so I no longer need/want this car in my garage. Proceeds of sale will be donated to the Saab Heritage Museum. See more photos in my Saabnet.com Member Gallery: Click Here.

  • 1974 Saab Sonett III (Posted 4/13/2021) SOLD
  • Color: Burnt Orange Trans: Manual Mileage: 97,XXX Price: $12,000
All original except engine power increased in 2001, and extra rustproofing done by first owner 45+ years ago when it was new. Nothing has been patched, painted over, or covered with undercoating, so you can see its true condition. Drive it like it is or give it the beautiful paint job it deserves. Retired and downsizing from three SAABs to one SAAB is the reason for selling this Sonett. Purchased in 2001 from the second owner. First owner (an engineer and racer) successfully enhanced the rustproofing so there is no significant rust. Engine rebuilt in 2001 at 70,572 miles with the following from Motor Sport Service: Intake and exhaust manifolds, carburetor, street cam, oversize pistons, steel timing gear set, lightened flywheel, etc. for increased power. Also added heads with bigger hardened valves/seats for unleaded gas, PerTronix electronic ignition, electric cooling fan and Jack Ashcraft coolant filter. Brake and clutch systems converted to DOT 5 silicone fluid. Brake master re-sleeved, front calipers rebuilt, new front rotors, pads and rear wheel cylinders. New clutch master and slave cylinders. Transaxle rebuilt 9/2016 at about 92,000 miles by Tom Donney at Fort Dodge Transmission. Tom's rebuild included his modifications to upgrade the clutch disk and pressure plate, and he locked out the freewheel for increased life and reliability. This Sonett has a rare correct OEM/Scandix dual exhaust and like-new correct Vredestein Sprint Classic 155SR15 tires. Never-blastered wheels still have their original machining marks and center caps. Cibie headlights and period-correct driving lights. Two sets of Sonett seats are included. The seats installed in the car have sheepskin seating surfaces. The second pair of seats have the original upholstery. Also included are a custom-fit Beverly Hills car cover and three manuals: Official SAAB Sonett III Service Manual and SAAB V4 Drivetrain Service Manual, plus Autobook 764 Workshop manual for 95 and 96 V4 for 1966–75 (See picture in Member Gallery). • 1973 Saab Sonett III Model 97 (Posted 11/24/2020) SOLD
  • Color: California Red Trans: Manual Mileage: 98,982 Price: $2750
VIN 97735001530. Sonett III, owned by Saab enthusiast being sold only due to age (mine not the car) and a cross country move; I am in Austin Texas and the car is in Charlottesville Virginia. The car was restored in Denver about 13 years ago and has NO rust. Original interior with reattached headliner, nice soccer ball wheels (including spare) with very good 145-15 tires. The engine compartment is complete and the 1700cc V4 is all original/stock. All glass is original and in good shape. Original air conditioning is in place except the evaporator which is disconnected and in the boot. Ton Dinh of International Imports in Charlottesville VA just rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the clutch master, reset the timing, and replaced the clutch and brake hoses. He says the car is now ready for the road. The issue with the car is that while it sat at Ton’s shop someone “keyed” it. That is the reason for my low asking price (I was previously offered $6000). Please call Donna or Annie at International Imports in Charlottesville VA for an appointment to see the car (434-972-7222). Call me in Texas to discuss the car or to make an offer (512-943-0667).

  • Color: Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 100,000+ Price: $3500
Some assembly required. I got this car second-hand in about 1981. Raced & auto crossed extensively in the 1980's until disassembly for restoration. Chassis is fully restored with new parts throughout in the 90's. Engine rebuild completed last winter. No time to assemble the car & lost my storage, it needs a new home. All new metal welded into chassis, over 1000 hours spent restoring with all new parts that were available in the 90's. New brakes, cables, rotors, calipers, bushings, overbuilt with heavier metal throughout. Engine is .o50 oversize pistons, 2 bbl Weber, 2 bbl intake, ported heads 8500 redline street cam. Engine fully balanced & set up for electric fan (included with new radiator). New electric fuel pump included! New clutch components & top grade professional rebuild that has been started! Hundreds, yes 100's of photos (some digital) of the restoration work. Interior is rough, paint original. I am a mechanic by trade, not a finish man. Spare car & many spare parts also available. This is it, a kit car just made for a guy that can assemble and refinish the rest after all the mechanical work has been done. More photos available in classified gallery: Click Here.

  • 1973 Saab Sonett III (Posted 8/12/2020) SOLD
  • Color: Green Trans: Manual Mileage: 99,166 Price: $2800
I've owned my Sonett for 23 years. I am the second owner and never did drive it much. When I did drive it, it ran, drove, stopped, and shifted great. I stored it for most of its life but the storage fees got out of hand. For the past 5 years, the car has been outside in the weather and it really took its toll. The car is solid and the only light rust I know of is the floors inside where water stood. Rockers are solid. Some years ago I had both seats reupholstered and they are really nice. The seats have been stored in a spare bedroom. What I do know is that it needs paint along with some light body work, some interior work, and the clutch master appears to be seized. I would expect the brakes also need some attention. Oddly, the ignition switch failed but I have a complete steering column for it. I am near retirement and this was my #1 project to take on but due to a recent serious accident, I have a broken back and will likely never be able to take on this project. Open to offers. Thank you.

  • 1972 Saab Sonett III (Posted 8/3/2020) SOLD
  • Color: Green Trans: Manual Mileage: 99,914 Price: $4,500 Or Best Offer
I purchased this car 20 odd years ago with the thought of finishing what the previous owner had started. As work and time have permitted, I have it very close to that condition but have decided that I have too many projects and too little time to finish all of them so this one must go. The previous owner had the body painted (now in good to average condition) and the seats reupholstered (excellent and authentic). I have replaced ball joints, tie rod ends, balance gear and bearings, brake pads, clutch and pressure plate and shocks. All hydraulics (clutch and brake) have been rebuilt or replaced. Clutch master cylinder by White Horse. The stock carburetor has been rebuilt. The car runs and drives well. What remains to be done is to finish the interior (50%) and to sort out head and tail lights. This car is very solid with only small rust issue on driver's floor. Rocker panels are solid and rust free. It has running lights behind grill and early small bumpers front and rear. Car comes with a parts car and access to 30 years of parts accumulation.

  • 1967 Saab Sonett (Posted 5/28/2020) SOLD
  • Color: Silver Trans: Manual Mileage: Price: $2300
Time to liquidate some of Dad’s projects. This Sonett is titled as a 1967 but the serial number puts it as a 1968. Somewhere in its past, the rear window was changed out to a later model window. Overall, it’s a great candidate for a restoration. It will run but the fuel system needs to be gone through so it would need to be trailered. It also needs a rebuilt master brake cylinder. My father bought it as a project but never got to do much with it. The floor pans appear to have either been replaced or at least some work has been done on them. Also, the door sills also seem to be solid. Interior seems to be all there but not in great shape. More photos available in classified gallery: Click Here.

Here is a solid foundation to build a great Sonett III! All parts included. Engine is a fresh 1500 CC and transmission recently rebuilt by SAAB experts. Clear state of Ohio title. • 1974 Saab Sonett III (Posted 7/17/2019) SOLD
  • Color: Grabber Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 58,000 Price: $3950
Vin #97745000116 Owned since mid 1980's. It was my last best Sonett of my 5 or 6 I had up to that point. She has been continuously registered and insured since I bought it from an ex GE employee I believe. One repaint in the mid 1990's in Ford Grabber Blue, a very close match to Saabs original color. I do not believe it has ever been wrecked. Corrosion is in the typical places near the jack stands and behind across the hind section. Clean NYS title. Always garaged, but time and moisture has caught up to her. GREAT candidate for a body off restoration, which was my intent... until i fell in love with a Baja Red one (II) recently. same color as my original 1971 Sonett in 1978…. ahh, you never forget your first Sonett... Car currently does drive (sort of), front left brake seems to be holding up, lights work and sometimes do not, idle stays higher than it should. Runs to good temperature and engine starts up on a click and sounds good. Transmission shifts but 3rd gear is stiff. New plugs, points and misc tune up items. New brakes, tires and battery.

You are wondering why I am selling it, aren’t you? Being familiar with the Sonett III, you know it is not filled with creature comforts and I am past the age of driving a vehicle without A/C, power steering, power brakes, or power windows. I also need a radio I can hear at freeway speeds. I always loved the attention the car received when I drove it daily, but I have to get over the praise the car awarded me. The car was purchased new in August 1971; original owner; driven daily until 2007; garaged nightly/covered daily when exposed to elements; service records available; repainted Beryl in 1991; four speed transmission; fun car to drive; CA car serviced at J & B Imports for most of its life prior to moving from Orange County to the San Fernando Valley; Saab owner and shop manuals.

Also I think the bushings in the shifter need to be replaced. Car comes with 2 barrel manifold and Weber DGAV carb as well as an extra front clip (not pictured). More pictures upon request. • Color: Red/Orange Trans: Manual Mileage: 84,000 Price: $2000
Oregon car I picked up back in 2000 and has been in storage ever since. When purchased, it has just undergone a restoration with new paint and upholstery and overhauled engine and tranny. Two issues: (1) the previous owner had a thing against the pop-up headlights, so had removed all the headlight hardware and installed driving lights in the grill. I am about half-way done with replacing the pop-up mechanism -- the hood is still off so is accessible for someone to finish the job. (2) the car had apparently had A/C that had been removed at some point. No problem under the hood, but the vent hoses have also been removed under the dash so some analysis/refurbishment would be required there. Too good to part out, but I have no time or space (and too many other projects) to complete.

  • 1974 Saab Sonett III (Posted 6/24/2018) SOLD
  • Color: White Trans: Manual Mileage: 63,074 Price: $4000
This Sonett runs and drives very well. The engine was rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, 3/4 cam and the heads were redone for unleaded fuel. There is very little rust in the pans and rockers. The battery box was repaired many years ago. There is a crack in the fiberglass above the left front headlight opening, that was a common place for a crack to occur. Shipping and delivery are the responsibility of the buyer, but I will help as much as possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Additional pictures are available on request.

Shipping and delivery are the responsibility of the buyer, but I will help as much as possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I can provide additional pictures upon request.

Excellent driver quality Sonett III, owned by Saab collector and being sold only to make room for another Saab in my collection. This is my third Sonett III and it's the best of the bunch. Low miles believed to be actual, no rust and very good new paint (10 years ago) but not concours quality. Mean sounding dual exhaust conversion with newer mufflers. Nice original interior with brand new headliner, original Saab radio, nice soccer ball wheels (including spare) with very good 145-15 Firestone tires. Starts right up every time, runs and drives great. 1700cc V4 is all original/stock with very clean engine compartment. All glass appears original and in good shape. My cars are all garaged and covered and spend winters on a trickle charger. Happy to share additional photos on request. The photo shown here was taken this week. The car is located near Charlottesville, VA, about 2 hours drive southwest of Washington D.C.

Minimal wear on the interior. Have quite an extensive list of everything that has been done. Needs some fiberglass body work but all very minor. Was my daily driver during summer months for a while. • Color: Orange Trans: Manual Mileage: Price: $1250
Recently acquired 1974 Sonett that has been taken apart for restoration then abandoned. I think it has been sitting for awhile. The floors have rust. There is a Ashcraft trunk floor pan kit, still in the box, that's included. The body is not bolted on. It does have a couple of bad places in the fiberglass. The drivetrain is still in it. I don't know the condition of the motor or transmission. A lot of the small parts are in boxes. I assume it to be all there but no guarantees. The glass all looks good. The moldings are here but probably no good. The upholstery is there but pretty well used. There are 5 soccer ball wheels. 1 is missing a center cap. I do have a title. There's a Saab book and service manual included. I don't know anything about these things but will always try to answer any questions. Just shoot me an email. • 1970 Saab Sonett III (Posted 7/12/2017) SOLD
  • Color: Red Trans: Manual Mileage: Price: $7,900
Very nice 1970 Sonett #292. It has had many mechanical updates over the years including rebuilt tranny, heads, brakes, balance shaft bearing. Etc. It has a Weber carb plus electronic ignition. The special feature is the rare George Celedinas roller rockers are installed. The repaint is old but still very nice. The driving lights were replaced with Hellas. Only rust found is tiny quarter size in floor. The car had been in California I was told until mid nineties when a Saab mechanic bought it after being driven to NY. Interior is very good along with tires. The headliner was redone in original cloth. the car has a Nardi wooden wheel and performance shocks. After researching this special Sonett, it was learned that this #292 was one of 7 1970 Sonetts distributed to dealers to use for Sonett promotion. This Sonett was assigned to a dealer in New York City area and the gentlemen who was the Saab representative actually bought the car in nineties since he had driven it back in 1970. The shifter was replaced with Ashcraft unit to keep in 3/4 bank to prevent going in reverse. It runs and drives nice and the MSS exhaust sounds great. Looking for offers and have it go to good home. The picture shows it last month at the Vintage Saab Jamboree in Pennsylvania.

Seats in good shape, driver's seat has one tear. Battery cable, water pump, front seals, fan bearing (timing gears in great shape), real glass lifts, hoses, wiper motor have been replaced and the brake master cylinder has been bored and sleeved and carburetor was rebuilt. Includes many vintage and new extra parts. Brand new Goodrich T/A tires (4), new in box KYB shocks (4), 2 full engine gasket sets, misc tune up parts and filters. Key vintage parts include good front windshield, extra set of soccerball wheels, OEM V4 and Sonett repair manuals, engine cover, doors, much vintage misc. Have clear title and keys. Would require very little to get it running and have a good driver.

  • Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: 103,000 Price: $2,495
I am selling this vehicle because I no longer have need for it and I have developed back problems which makes it hard to enter and exit. It's time for someone else to have their fun with it. The car runs and drivers quite well but has some issues mainly electrical. Head and tail lights work but wipers and heater controls do not. The car comes with a complete repair manual (I believe it was from a sedan but they just about the same). The air compressor has been removed. Evaporator is still in place. All parts have been retained and will go with the car in case you wish to reinstall. This car is all original (repainted by previous owner) with V4 engine, front wheel drive, 4 speed with free wheeling transmission if desired. I have owned the car for over ten years and drove it very little. The car is trustworthy and very drivable. Master cylinder for clutch will have to be rebuilt. It sat too long. This car is an antique and should be driven as one. Comes with all 5 soccer ball wheels.

  • 1974 Saab Sonett III (Posted 3/17/2017) SOLD
  • Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: 65,000 Price: $3,250
I bought this car as a restoration project, it came on a trailer without the ignition key but it turned out it didn't matter since the engine wouldn't start. A little tricky to maneuver but with a garage jack we could get it into the shop. A lock smith made the ignition key which unlocked the steering for easier maneuvering but no starting of the engine. So after two years of working on it, a SAAB shop offered to make the engine run again and fixed the brakes and their hydraulic piping. The former owner passed while in the midst of the restoration so his brother (not a car guy) advertised it. A new Weber Tipo 34 ICH carburetor and fuel pump were installed and after the fuel filter was turned around, the engine started. It is fun to drive and the exhaust sound is great emulating a more fancy sports car.

I just bought this car on eBay as I always thought they were cool. Unfortunately after purchasing and waiting for transport, the owner of a car I was looking at locally contacted me and accepted an offer I made weeks ago. Couldn't pass it up and don't have room for both. Saab Sonett 3 with good running V4 cylinder engine and manual transmission. Needs new brake wheel cylinders and clutch is slipping; come with new clutch and pressure plate as well as brake wheel cylinders. Has box of extra parts including some new lights, original tools with bag, jack and spare. Has all 4 OEM wheels, rust in trunk area and has an extra bonnet. Car drove on and off of truck transport using ebrake; rear wheel cylinder is a little sticky as stated and clutch slips. I have a clear CA title, vehicle is on a non-op so no back CA DMV fees (have report from DMV that shows no fees) does not need CA smog since pre-1976. See on Ebay: Click Here

Great running '74 Sonett III. My parents bought it in 1981 and I inherited it about 13 years ago. Has been stored indoors since 1981 and not driven in snow/rain. Reliable and incredibly fun although it is time to pass it on. Issues: some rust as expected on rockers and front floor pan although still structurally intact (trunk pan is fine), mild oil seepage from left head or valve cover which I have not had time to investigate. Recently repainted yellow, many parts replaced in the last 5 years: Cooling, clutch, ignition, intake, exhaust systems COMPLETELY redone. Interior is excellent and leather seats are flawless. Everything works except a/c which was removed. All repairs were meticulously performed the right way and I have taken excellent care of this car. Please contact me for more information.

  • Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: 53,000 Price: $2200
This is a nice clean 1974 Sonett III. It was on the road until May when the new clutch pressure plate failed. It will need a new pressure plate before it can be driven. Otherwise it is a nice car. Very little rust, and decent driver quality paint and interior. All original, nothing custom. Newer tires, shocks, battery, water pump, electronic ignition, belts, hoses, ect. Engine was resealed when clutch was installed last year. Its a shame the new pressure plate came apart. Engine runs great with no leaks or smoke. Trans shifts nicely and makes no weird sounds. Trunk floor was replaced with an ashcraft kit a few years ago.

  • 1969 Saab Sonett V4 #1430 (Posted 5/29/2015) SOLD
  • Color: Blue Trans: Manual Mileage: 57,000 Price: $18,000 OBO
1969 Saab Sonett #1430. 57K original miles. Original engine, transmission. Never- ever- had any rust or rust repair to chassis. Owned by Saab fanatic and Saab master technician. Bought from SoCal in 2004. Bud Clark-(world renowned Saab specialist in Orange CA) recommended it to me-belonged to a customer of his, and he knew the car well. It was repainted and the interior was redone to a very high standard by PO. Headliner is the largest deviation from stock- having been redone in black vinyl instead of the original “mouse fur” treatment. Chromed bits under the hood include the valve covers and “expansion tank/frame stiffener” Stainless hardware was used throughout when fiberglass body was reinstalled to chassis. I went through the car and updated the carburetor to a modern Weber 32/36 DGV. Added a Pertronix electronic ignition- no points. Bosch blue coil, upgraded plug wires. Upgraded alternator to rebuilt 80 A Bosch. It has rebuilt adjustable Koni shock absorbers, an MSS Y pipe extractor exhaust modified to fit the V4 Sonett-loud!, Yokahama 195 tires mounted on “soccer ball” wheels. Front anti-sway bar delete. Handles wonderfully. Loud air horns. Many other items attended to over the last 11 years… Recent complete brake restoration including sleeved brake master, new wheel cylinders, new flex hoses, front brake pads, rear shoes and has drilled front disks. I had the clutch master sleeved at the same time as the brake master. I’ve always used Amsoil full synthetic lubricants in the engine and gearbox. It gets a coolant flush every 2 years and brake fluid flush and oil and filter changes at least once a year. This car does have a few minor chips in the paint and a scratch on the nose, a few minor flaws on the upper surfaces of the car.- I’m not afraid to drive it like a “real car”…It’s been a reliable and fun car to drive, but I find I’m only driving it a few hundred miles a year… It’s currently on the road, MA state inspection done, full of 93 octane fuel and ready to go. Everything works except the dash clock. I would really prefer that you come and see it, drive it, buy it- and drive it home- but I realize it’s a special car and I’ll try to accommodate buyer’s requiring shipping.

  • 1971 Saab Sonett (Posted 6/2/2014) SOLD
  • Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: 34,000 Price: $4800
Great fun to drive and mechanically sound. All rust repaired. Paint has some spidering and chips but still looks decent from 30 ft. Engine has MSS carb/manifold, hardened valve seats, lightened flywheel, race cam, MSS exhaust, driving lights, small bumpers, cut springs. Transaxle rebuilt by MSS 7K ago, New clutch plate, fuel and water pump replaced and radiator recored. I installed an LED brake light in back hatch that is almost unnoticeable until lit to help get the attention of those behind. Also put in an air horn. There is even a 5-point racing harness but I never used it. Headliner not sagging. 5th soccer ball in trunk. I also have Sonett service manual. I bought the car 15 years ago from a college professor who restored it in his retirement. It’s been fun but I have a kid in college and just don’t have the time or space for it.

  • 1969 Saab Sonett V-4 (Posted 2/26/2014) SOLD
  • Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: Unknown Price: $1,500
1969 Saab Sonett V-4 frame, body & drive train. For those who are restoring an east coast car, you might want to read on. Don't waste your endless time on your frame welding out rust panels and take a serious look at this. It appears this car has spent the majority of its life west of Kansas as it is almost rust free. Rocker panels are solid, battery tray solid, suspension solid. There is surface rust around the car and the clutch pedal area. A small area around the drivers l foot may need some attention. Media blasting will bring the metal back to original and remove 98% of the surface rust. A tree fell on the roof of this car damaging the fiberglass roof, front and rear glass. Car has been sitting in a barn for 15 years where many rodents made their home and destroyed the interior seats and carpet. Interior is removed to remove nesting material in all the inner hiding places. This car is a great candidate for someone who has an almost complete car with a bad frame and who wants to restore it. Take two to make one. Car has front bonnet, doors, engine, transmission, steel wheels. Missing is grille, front & rear glass, mufflers and a few other misc items. Right lower inner panel where hood bolts has slight wrinkle from light impact. Good Colorado title. Have detailed pictures.
