If you live in the St. Louis, MO area why would you bring your Saab to any

other mechanic? He is a Master Technician for Saab and Volvo and treats your

care like his own. Family run business, with his daughters running the front

office....these girls know ALOT about Saabs! My understanding is many years

ago, Gary ran the service department of a Saab dealership in the area that is

now out of business. I've been told that when he left, the service department

went down hill....maybe that had something to do with the dealership going

out of business. Anyway, he knows Saabs, and will save you tons of cash and

headaches from the dealer's service departments.

I bought my first Saab, a friend recommended this shop said he has been going

there for years and they were great, so I took it to have him look it over.

Everyone there was polite and nice. I will be taking all my business to him.

George's is an institution in KC Saab circles. This is a family dealership

with the family running and working in the shop (specialize in making Saabs

go fast.) Good source for parts and advice, they will install used or

remanufactured parts if you bring them in, they only deal in new parts.

Nice people laid back place.

Neils auto has been in business for about a year now, the 

technicians and owner however, have been working on Saabs for 4 and 12 

years. the previous owner of this business was George Myles, of Myles 

automotive, whom was also listed on Saabnet and still is. George has 

since retired from the business, and Neil, George’s shop manager, along 

with one of George’s mechanics, set out and opened Neils auto. Neils has 

most of the same faces, the same quality and honesty as before at 

George’s, just a new name on the door.

This is an economy Saab shop, not to say that the work is below par. They are

a full service shop, with an adjoining junkyard full of Saabs. Their prices

are the most reasonable around by far, and the two things that they did for

my 84 900T were both very satisfactory. $300 to put in a new oil pump and

harmonic balancer, including used parts, and they only had it one day! I was

very impressed.
