The first car I drove was my dads 1977 Ford Maverick and in college I bought my first car which was that used 1982 Saab 900T 4dr Sedan with 66K miles. I loved that car and its wonderful utility over the years crisscrossing the country three times on new duty assignment while serving in the U.S. Navy. I drove that car to 300K and killed it by going on deployments and not changing the oil. So sad- RIP. My current Saab is again tied to my father. Mom said he went out to Home Depot and came back with the Saab...impulse moment. Well the 1991 900T Vert has since been titled to me and I love this car too although it is a "quirkier" convertible. As the daily driver it doesn't get much from the garage at home to the parking garage at the airport while I fly for several days. After visiting saabnet.com I caught the bug of restoration and rally conventions - so fun meeting saabers! |
