The logical design of the 1984 Saab 900 Turbo's instrument panel is the result of research conducted by the Saab Car Division in collaboration with Saab Aerospace. The driver can reach all controls without altering his position or taking his eyes off the road. The round dials with large orange pointers against a matt black background are similar to those used in aircraft.
