Ignition switches in early 9000s were problematic. Probably your problem. An easy replacement. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers via the 4 screws holding it from the bottom. The electrical part of the switch is what you want to replace. It is held by two small allen set scres which you can see just under where the key goes. The switch mounts directly behind the key cylinder. The connector on it will be tight to get off. Another place to look are the grounds behind the battery. Clean and tighten the connections there. There is a big bunch of them there. Also look at the fuse panel. You'll have to remove the glove box(6 screws) and pull the fuse panel down (2 screws) Check the wires mounted on the sides of the panel with nuts. The nuts loosen. Also check all the connections on the ground and power distribution bars on the panel. Good luck, Ywan Mason
