Serious snow fall combined with very hilly terrain can make for some challanging winter drives. I can tell you one thing about Saab 900s, they are on of the best 2 wheel drive cars on the road in the snow. Armed with four Pirelli Winter S2 snow tires, I have never got stuck in the snow. Last winter, I had to go pick up my wife who got stuck in her Jeep Grand Cherokee. Guess what? I pulled the Jeep from the snow drift with my 900. Ha, I wish I had a camera that day. However, I have to say one more thing. The latest 900s are not nearly as good in the snow as the generation that they replaced. I had a 95 900SE and it was not nearly ad good in the snow, with the same tires as my 92 and previous 900s. The newer car seemed to be much more prone to understeer in slippery conditions. Hope it helps, Tim.
