If you are unsure of the condition of the car after test driving it yourself, ask permission to take it to a qualified shop familiar with Saabs. If you don't see two or three Saabs in their lot, just keep going. Most shops charge you 1 hour's labor to check out a car. If the owner has the maintainance records, take them with you and show them to the shop and get their opinion. Saabs are very reliable cars if treated and service properly. They can fall apart if mistreated and abused as can and will any car. Saabs have their quirks and one needs to be familiar with them in order to properly inspect a car for purchase. Do not buy any car without first having it checked by someone reliable, preferrably the someone who will service the car in the future. Good luck and I hope it works out for you. Ywan Mason
