I have an oppertunity to buy an '87 900 Turbo (3 dr) which seems to be in good shape. I'm curious though as to what problems I might see in the near future and what the costs would/could be. This is in Central New Jersey if that helps with the market. Here's the specs (that I can think of right now) on the car: -143,000 miles (no engine work ever done) -Power Sunroof and windows -Recently replaced (with receipts): Clutch, exhaust, brakes, some suspension parts (Don't remember exactly what) -Comes with a set of mounted snow tires (Usded for two seasons) -Regular tires will probably need to be replaced in the Spring -Little body damage (dent on hatchback, some rust "cancer" bubling through the paint) -Generally seems to be in good shape, but I've never really looked at a Saab before The owner is looking to get about $4,000; my offer so far is $3200. I'm not necessarily looking for a Saab and I intend to keep looking around. My worry is that I'm stretching my budget to buy what I hope will be a reliable car and I don't want to have any surprise problems come up that I can't afford to get fixed. Feel free to e-mail me or ask additional questions. I'm sure there's things that I forgot to mention that might be helpful. Thanks for your help! Kathy loonykathynopsamcom
