The only Saab approved conversion is to R134a. Other refrigerants are not certified for use in many cars, not only Saab. There are cases of unapproved refrigerants not only damaging components but also exploding. Some idiots have been using propane. Now that is really smart, pressurizing propane in close proximity to sparks in containers known to leak. Stick with R134a and a dependable source for it. Containers should carry a label certifying the purity and some sort of DOT or official endorsement. There are conterfeits out there that contain who knows what. Beware.
