As long as you put it on only when the car is clean and as long as you occasionally take it off and clean under it, for the most part, any abrasion will wax out. Wax the hood often!. I am still undecided about winter driving though, since with it on, you end up with salt and road grime, but with it off, I ended up with a ton of rock/salt chips. At this point, I think I would have rather left it on. That way, at least I wouldn't see the abrasion marks under it. :) -klaus
