My PS has morning sickness and is losing fluid slowly. My Saab tech told me to replace it with a rebuilt rack but to make sure it is steel sleeved as the OE is aluminum and scores easily. Then he flushes the system on a schedule - maybe on the same schedule Saab reccomends for flushing the hydraulics. with the steel sleeve and periodic flushing he says they can last forever.
