It's worth noting that, aside from the convertibles, the 1990 and 1991 SPGs were among the heaviest Saab 900s ever, at about 2950 lbs. You're right - not to0 impressive by today's standards. Much of the slow time has to do with turbo lag and the fact you've got to go through two gear shifts (1->2,2->3) before you hit sixty. But, also as you point out, 60-100 times are VERY impressive. Someone told me that a European magazine did a test on the 8v Saab 900T (european spec, of course, so it had about 140hp) and it was faster 50-70 that a Ferrari. -Justin
