>Is there a dimension for new vs. worn clutch >that I should know when they tell me the verdict? Any ideas? I just had the same situation on my 90 9000T with 50K. (and managed to drive it home - a distance of 75 miles - with No operating clutch.- a HARROWING experience to say the least) Most of your $8-900 is going toward the labor to drop the tranny to get to the clutch hydraulics. Changing the clutch is only about $200 more. If there is any significant clutch wear, I'd change it (I did) because you'll be paying the same $8-900 labor to drop the tranny when the clutch goes. Kuel is as Kuel duz!
