I don't know about you, but installing a steering rack is way beyond my abilities at home and I'll do just about anything. And then you'll have an alignment afterwards. For the average person a new steering rack is about $300 - half parts half labor - then a $50 alignment. Just a matter of judgement whether you think a $50 risk is better than a possible $350 expense... YMMV... -Justin
