Keith... You can probably pick up a used APC selonoid at a salvage yard for a couple of bucks just to try it, it will be a lot cheaper than the APC box. If it turns out that the APC selonoid is not the problem, now you have a spare, and you know what the "rule" is...once you have a spare of something, the original probably will never go bad.
