My SAABs have always seemed to run better in the winter. Any run-of-the-mill car can be OK on dry roads in summer conditions. I had my '79 900EMS w/ manual gearbox (its really not a *SAAB* w/ AT IMO) when I briefly lived in Silicon Valley in the early 80s. Clogged up stop & go driving everywhere. Never snowed. I'm thinking to myself, what a waste of this car to be driven here. --Bill
