I've done this a few times - it's not a simple job. Would not recommend this as a do-it-yourself job unless you have much skill, time, and documentation. Best bet would be to get a junkyard motor for $1000 or so and all the stuff that goes with it (turbo plumbing, intercooler, etc. etc.)(try ABC in Leominster, MA). Or, buy a wrecked 900 turbo. Then swap the motor and everything. You can't just put a turbo on the S motor, the compression ratio's too high. Oh, by the way, you'll be needing a complete exhaust (including cat) also - everything's larger than the non-turbo stuff. Peter Courtright wrote in message ... >I've a 1987 Saab 900 S/16 .
