I confess, this one is my own doing. I changed the thermostat last week, and since I was there I cleaned the throtle plate a bit. The idle rpms after that shot up to about 1400 with the engine warm. So today I decided to clean the throtle plate well and do a very nice job at it. I did a great job, it is as clean as they come, but now my rpms have shot up to 1500 cold and 2000 warm. What went wrong? Does anyone have any ideas what I did to cause this and how to fix it? There was plenty of oil-sludge there before, I am about to put it all back. It is an automatic. Thanks guys, Please help!!!
