My last car had SP8000s on it, and handled really well in rain/snow, as well as on standard dry pavement while doing 80 around a posted 35 corner :-) No squeels. Tires are a very personal preference, there's tradeoffs all over the place depending on your driving style. If you aren't agressive, then you might want to emphasise comfort and noise over road-holding.
