Hi, I asked earlier the exact differencies between saab9000CSE 2.3 LPT (170bhp) and saab9000CSE 2.3T (200bhp) with poor results. I've got some info on tuning this machine, especially through tuning places like abbott, nordic and bsr-sportsman (www.bsrab.se). Let's try again... Is there anyone outthere who has upgraded LPT version with solenoid valve afterwards? Is this upgrading worth it? Here in Finland solenoid valve costs about 200$ (plus hoses about 80$). But is this thing really needed, keeping in mind that I'm going to upgrade the chip. My aim is to get about 50-70 extra bhp (with torque increase about 100-140nm). Is the solenoid valve needed to get this amount of extra power from this engine reliably? Any experiences from installing? Is it easy to do yourself? thanks in advance, tom BTW As fas as I know the differencies are the trionic programming (boost pressures 0.55 and 1.0bar) and solenoid valve, Both have the same gharger (T25), same intercooler, same ignition-system etc. I'm not sure about the exhaust system, especially the catalytic converter.
