Hi All, I'm looking at a 1985 Saab 900 turbo SPG that still belongs to the original owner who didn't even have it up for sale. I left a note under the wiper and he called me! I drove the car today. Here are the good and bad points: BAD: -A/C not working. -Driver's Power window slips(need to pull up while holding button). -Passenger side window not working at all. -Hard to get into 3rd & 5th gears. -Leather on front seats cracked and split, pieces of leather missing. -Headliner hanging down as usual, no big deal. -Clunk in L/R(likely a shock) -Clunk in R/F(sounds like a ball joint) -Clunk after backing up and then braking. (sounds like it is from the brakes) -Cracks in the dash. GOOD: -Original owner (a doctor) -Only 150,000kms (93,000miles) -Except for the clunks the car steers and drives very tight. -As all canadian 900's of this year it has the flush euro style H4 headlights. -No rust but does need paint to look really good.(I can do this myself) -The best thing: I can get the car for $1000CND ($650USD) Any thoughts would be appriecated, specifically on possible needed repair of listed problems. I know at that price the car is a good deal. I do plan on buying it and restoring to make it perfect. Thanks in advance. Dave S. dicompsystemsnopsamo.com
