It is a done deal. Volvo (not the part Ford owns) bought the Scania shares from Investor using cash (from Ford) and its own shares. The result is that Investor is now the biggest share holder in Volvo. This is getting confusing, but as I remember it it is like this (for the moment :-) * GM and Investor owns half each of Saab Automobile. GM has an option to buy the Investor part but hasn't used it yet. * Ford owns Volvo Cars. * Many share holders (those who own Volvo shares, the largest is Investor) own Scania and Volvo (trucks, buses ...). * Many share holders (Investor, British Aerospace and others) own Saab Aerospace. -- Goran Larsson hoh AT approve DOT se I was an atheist, http://home DOT swipnet DOT se/hoh/ until I found out I was God.
