Have you brought the car to a shop or dealer? There are some micro adjustment "fingers" for the gearbox that may be a little out of whack, causing a baulky engagement of 5th gear. A dealer should be able to check that for you easily. It's in an awkward spot in the rear of the engine compartment and I believe it requires the infamous "special tool" for adjustment.
