Could it be a wheel bearing perhaps? Does the noise vary when cornering. I just needed to have the front left wheel bearing replaced. The noise was louder when banking left and it was gone when cornering to the right (and thus putting more of the car's weight on the bad wheel). Take your car for a spin and listen.
