My wife had the same Pine tree sap where she works and the hood got a dose then sat in the hot sun for a day, I found that Collinite Pre Wax Cleaner (might not be exact, don't have the bottle here) did a great job removing the sap and rings but I still have yet to polish out the light swirl marks left behind. If you use this product, use a little more water than you think you should. I am going to follow up with a good paste wax over each area to remove the swirls and then do the whole hood.... chip grabow wrote in message <38160307.B1F30FB6nopsamk.net>... >i have a 99 9-3 SE and, after parking under some pine trees this summer, >the car has had about 5-10 dime size splotches of tree sap. >unfortunately i ignore until now and find that, even tho products like >Turtle Wax bug and tar remover worked in the past, it didn't work in >this case. it seems the sun's baked the sap into a hard finish. > >what can anyone suggest? thanks much.
